Modern Love is an anthology show. It explores the enigmatic human emotion called love. The series is “Inspired by personal essays from The New York Times column Modern Love.”
Although its makers have clarified that certain elements have been fictionalized, this show is based on a newspaper column that explores relationships, love, and human connection in the 21st century. In the second season, the stories move beyond the borders of New York. So, we get to see the contemporary love stories from around the world.

Spoilers Free Brief Review of the Modern Love (S1 & S2) Series
In this anthology show, we loved season one of this series, but season two could not live up to the high standards of the previous first season. Although some of the episodes of season two were great too, especially the first three and the last ones. Both Love and Relationship are indeed complicated for all of us, humans. But, we should never give up on it – the strength and bonding of the emotion called love.
With a playtime of about half an hour for each of the sixteen episodes, one can easily marathon-watch the two seasons of this romantic series in about eight and a half hours.
