Before long, she is engaged in solving various cases and has caught the eye of a handsome local cop, while her ex-husband, who is also her former colleague, makes attempts to lure her back into her former life.
Now, the Season (2) Two summary:- After leaving her life as a spy behind, Sylvia Fox (Emilia Fox) has embraced her new surroundings in Italy, reconnecting with her sister and falling for the dashing Italian Police Capitano Giovanni Riva (Giovanni Cirfiera). These crime tales showcase the beauty of Italy but the criminality of humans
The Umbria region has been charmingly shown in a perfect picture postcard style. This region is known as the beautiful green heart of Italy. In a way, it is ironic as well as tragic, that the evil-doers always find a way to disturb the peace and commit the crime in such a charming place. But, that is typical of us, humans.
Well, both seasons have three episodes each, so they have aired six episodes so far. What is pleasing is the fact that the duration is about 1 hour 20-30 minutes for each of the six episodes. So, one feels as if one is watching a movie. Moreover, the six episodes delve deep into the six unique criminal cases, -perhaps that made it a slow-paced tale, by today’s usual standards. But, on the other hand, these episodes allow the viewers to explore the crimes in much greater detail. Most of these crime tales are engaging, while some of them are not.
We liked this detective series led by charming Emilia Fox and other talented artists
Thankfully, helmed by the female protagonist, the series focuses on former MI-6 British agent Sylvia Fox (Emilia Fox) and her crime-solving abilities. With her enchanting presence, Emilio Fox made this slow-burning crime drama, a watchable show. In addition, in season 2 we also get a chance to meet the other family members of Ms Fox. Her sweet romance with Police Capitano Giovanni Riva has been explored engagingly.
We also liked the acting performances of the other members of its ensemble cast – Tara Fitzgerald (Isabel Vitale), Matteo Carlomagno (Matteo Vitale), Giovanni Cirfiera (Capitano Giovanni Riva), Imma Piro (Antonella Vitale), Marianne Leoni (Raffaela Tasso), Elena Di Cioccio (Roberta Barzini), Nicholas Farrell (Michael Priest), etc.
The conclusion
To conclude, one of the delightful aspects of this series is that it uses both English and Italian languages; as Ms Fox is staying in Italy. This certainly makes it a realistic tale in today’s global era, where people are conversant with different languages. As expected, season 2 once again ended with a cliffhanger and it opens a new mysterious tale to be explored. Now, we look forward to season 3 of Signora Volpe.
