Court-State Vs A Nobody (2025/India) Movie depicts the story of a poor teenage boy (aka nobody), who is accused of committing heinous crimes by the rich, powerful people. Soon after, the local police arrested the 19-year-old accused under the stringent POSCO Acts. Now, his case has become a sub-judice matter.

It seems that the central subject matter of the “fake” case by the politically powerful people has struck a chord among its viewers. Even the local police and the justice system tend to lean in favour of the influential people. However, sometimes in such types of cases, the hero steps up, unexpectedly. But, can hero win?

“Court-State Vs A Nobody” Is Riveting Legal Drama, Did A Corrupt System Try To Destroy An Innocent Life

Spoiler Free Review of the Court-State Vs A Nobody (2025/India) Movie

The introduction

The ‘class and status’ war is the central theme of this Telugu-language movie from India. And when one adds “caste, religion, region, language, etc,” the situation becomes much more complicated. However, this contemporary film primarily focuses on class and the economic divide. The teenage boy comes from a working-class family, the proletariat. On the other hand, the teenage girl belongs to a relatively well-off middle-class family. Besides, she also has a domineering politician uncle. Now, how can a youngster from a poor family dare to become a friend (and/or a lover) belonging to a rich family? There is a lot of social stigma attached to it.

It raises a burning social issue in India

One must remember that the society in India is hierarchical and stratified. Wherein, in general, the two different classes (and/or castes, religion, region, language, etc) do not socially engage with each other. So, the people belonging to different classes do not usually fall in love. Also, usually, they do not marry each other. Unless such people belong to the very rich class or the very poor class. As, they do not care for the strict social norms. In other words, one could say that the people belonging to the so-called burgeoning middle-class of India are true upholders of morality and righteousness in this twenty-first century.

According to many champions of the ancient social order, the purity of class (and/or castes, religion, region, language, etc) must be maintained. Especially in matters of the heart. And such a crossover between classes is violently opposed. No wonder the instances of honour killing and fake police cases are on the rise.

So, in the 21st century, one does wonder, where is Indian society heading?

Do the antiquated philosophies of ancient and medieval India still rule the hearts and minds in this modern day and age?

Actor Priyadarshi Pulikonda leads from the front in this legal drama

In this movie, the “nobody” represents the vast majority of Indians. Belonging to the have-not category and the weaker section of society, they work hard for a better future for their family. And when the calamity strikes, some of them are ready to challenge the might of the corrupt system. Thankfully, the family of “nobody” is willing to fight it out in the courtroom. Mind you, this kind of thing happens rarely in the prevalent judicial system. Where the money and political power often dominate the system. In this film, the political pressure exerted by an influential politician contaminates the policing, too.

Notably, in this legal battle, the “nobody” is represented by bold, smart, intelligent and quick-thinking Advocate Teja, wonderfully portrayed by the lead actor Priyadarshi Pulikonda. He exposes the deeply entrenched patriarchy and ongoing class war in society. Moreover, this courtroom drama also sheds light on the corrupt systems and practices prevalent in Indian democracy. We also appreciate the performances of the entire ensemble cast. However, both the youngsters, Harsh Roshan (Chandu aka Nobody) and Sridevi Appala (Meruvalli Jabilli), have been impressive in their supporting roles, respectively.

The conclusion

So, in this emotional courtroom drama, we get to see the best and worst of the system in India. A poor young man can be framed for an act that he did not commit. Then, he is arrested and jailed. Thereafter, the court proceedings started. A committed advocate, Teja, stands against a corrupt judicial system to defend a young man whose bond with a 17-year-old girl triggers the anger of her ruthless family. As the above image shows that sometimes the plain and simple truth hides in darkness. And it needs one ray (Teja) to vanish the pervading darkness and bring justice to light in the Court-State Vs A Nobody.
