About
His & Hers (2026) is a six-part American miniseries based on the 2020 book by British novelist Alice Feeney. And we are sure that the unimaginable ending is going to shock the viewers in this thrilling and suspenseful murder mystery. Because we did not really see it coming at all. However, we do not wish to spoil its mystery, so we shall refrain from sharing its storyline here.
One of the positive aspects of this whodunnit is that the lead pair (pictures at the top) are the prime suspects. However, they are not alone. As we go deeper into this crime tale, a few more join them. To be blunt, we, the viewers, are given piecemeal information about these key characters, so we never get to see the complete picture. As a result, we kept on guessing. Only in the last 15-16 minutes, we learn the truth.
Main Theme
✔️ It is a clever psychological thriller. Both the viewers and the cops in the show do not have any idea as to what is really happening. And the identity of the vengeful (serial) killer remains a mystery. Its gripping.
✔️ The show reiterates the strong bond and love that exists between the family members. For instance, between mother and child, or husband and wife, or uncle and niece, etc.
✔️ More often than not, our inherent biases stop us from seeing the truth that seems to be right in front of us. We let our preconceived ideas and notions cloud our judgments.
✔️ Sometimes, the physical abuse and childhood trauma from the distant past often catch up with people. And when the anger and retribution take a concrete shape, tragedy takes place.
What’s Good
✅ Well, first of all, the story of this murder mystery, His & Hers, by the best-selling author Alice Feeney, is quite good and convincing. It is a very well-thought-out and twisted revenge drama.
✅ The team of writers, led by William, has done a wonderful job of screen adaptation. They never really let the pace of drama slow down. And the surprising twists and turns kept us engaged.
✅ Moreover, in this screen adaptation, these writers have intelligently moved the setting of the mystery tale from Blackdown (UK in the book) to Dahlonega (USA in the show). And the town really suits the tale.
✅With only 6 episodes, this crime drama is perfect for binge-watching. And, with each of the episodes ending on a cliff-hanger, the viewers have little option to carry-on watching to find the killer.
✅ The credit for telling an engrossing and suspenseful murder mystery also goes to its two directors, William and Anja. They made sure that the viewers could feel the sense of urgency and eeriness.
Fine Performances
📌Jon Bernthal portrays a vulnerable and secretive Police Detective, Jack Harper, who is at the top of the list of prime suspects in His & Hers. Especially after his wife publicly questions him about the first murder victim. He has done a fine job of keeping himself right in the middle of the questionable murder investigation as a lead investigator. That even his police colleague, Priya (Sunita Mani), suspects him.
📌 On the other hand, Tessa Thompson portrays the go-getter and ambitious journalist, Anna, in His & Hers. Not only is she a grieving mother, but she also has childhood connections with all the murder victim(s). The timing of her visit to Dahlonega and picking the murder as a newsworthy item seemed suspicious. No wonder she is also the prime suspect in this serial-killer spree.
📌 We appreciate the credible performances of Jon Bernthal, Tessa Thompson, Sunita Mani, Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Marin Ireland, and Rebecca Rittenhouse. They all played their parts quite well.

Conclusion
Right at the start of the New Year 2026, in the first ten days, it is always entertaining to watch a murder mystery, His & Hers, with so many twists and turns. Some of them were expected, while some were unexpected. And the ending in the last and sixth episode really was mind-blowing. We did not foresee it. And it’s really a stunning turn of events in a murder mystery, despite a few flaws. Anyway, watch and enjoy His & Hers (2026) limited series, as it is a good mini drama to pass the time on a weekend.
