Sisu (2022) is a fictional war movie where wild battle scenes reign. This action-packed movie is a novelised movie version of the historical Lapland War in the 1940s. The armies of Finland and Germany were involved in the violent and a few-month-long war.

Borgen (Seasons 1, 2 & 3) is a refreshing Danish political drama from Denmark. Notably, the Danish title “Borgen” is also a nickname for Christiansborg Palace, a former royal palace and present-day Parliament in Denmark. The fact is that all three branches of the Danish government reside at Christiansborg Palace.

The Bridge (Bron/Broen) is a superb Nordic Noir from the Danes and Swedes. This great crime tale is a joint-financed production between Denmark’s DR and Sweden’s Sveriges TV. The original title of this thriller show is Bron/Broen in the Danish/Swedish languages, respectively.

The Killing (Forbrydelsen/2007-2012/Danish) series is a terrific Nordic Noir from Denmark. In this Danish police procedural drama series created by Søren Sveistrup, the lead actress, Sofie Gråbøl, plays the protagonist brilliantly.
