Ghosted (2023) is a typical romantic action movie from Hollywood with a slight twist. This new-age 2023 movie has a man-in-distress, as it deviates from the classic theme of damsel-in-distress stuff. So, we get to see a role reversal in this movie.
On one hand, the lady actress Ana de Armas plays a globe-trotting and legendary CIA agent, Sadie Rhodes.
On the other hand, the gentleman actor Chris Evans takes the role of a simpleton Cole Turner. In the recent past, we have seen both these actors – Chris and Ana in the wonderful whodunit Knives Out. Now, this latest action-filled movie of these two actors is fun and light-hearted to watch.

The synopsis
Meeting that special someone can be a real adventure. Salt-of-the-earth Cole Turner (Chris Evans) falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie Rhodes (Ana de Armas) - but then makes the shocking discovery that she's a secret agent. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world.
Adding to its storyline
The romantic life of Cole Turner (Chris Evans) and Sadie Rhodes (Ana de Armas) becomes complicated when Cole gets pulled into the deadly and dangerous world of modern-day spies. No doubt, the easy-going and attractive pairing of Chris and Ana in this film certainly helped.
Also, we loved this modern-day idea of role reversal. Three big cheers to that, yup.
What are our feelings about it?
As we told you all earlier Ana de Armas and Chris Evans have starred together in Knives Out (2019) and The Gray Man (2022) movies. We have already reviewed Knives Out and we will do the same with The Gray Man, which stars an Indian actor Dhanush.
Although most of the critics have criticised this film, we liked this feel-good and entertaining movie.
The conclusion
For us, it is a cheerful and okay time-passing movie. We also liked its high-spirited adventure streak. No wonder. it became the most-watched film debut in Apple TV+ history. Maybe this spy/romantic drama is worth a watch at least.
