Golam is a mystery crime drama in the Malayalam language of India. The movie “Golam” title means “A Sphere”. Maybe this alludes to the fact that one of the intelligent police officers takes a 360° look at the puzzling death.
Lately, we have been watching many good movies originating in the southern states of India. And, of course, in recent months, we have enjoyed watching Malayalam movies like Aavesham, Bramayugam, Premalu, etc.

The synopsis/summary
The rich owner of the V-Tech International company dies under baffling circumstances. So, when his unnatural death takes place in broad daylight during working hours, one of the police officers suspects foul play. His mysterious death took place in the office when everyone was working. Not surprisingly, his death has puzzled everyone, except for Investigator ASP Sandeep Krishna (Ranjith Sajeev) who has claimed it to be a murder case.
Notably, the major portion of this possible homicide case story is set in the office building, where every office staff member is a probable murder suspect. Now, the big question is, whether ASP Sandeep Krishna (Ranjith Sajeev) will be able to solve the mystery around the demise of the company owner. Thankfully, ASP Sandeep Krishna does that honestly and rationally. And he solves the intricate case.
Samjad has made an admirable debut
We have to say that Samjad has made an admirable debut as the director of this intelligent crime drama movie. Moreover, Samjad along with Praveen Viswanathhe has written a captivating police investigation tale. While watching this film, viewers might get the feeling that they are peeling an onion. As soon as ASP Sandeep Krishna finishes with one layer of information, a fresh layer of information appears. But, ASP Sandeep Krishna with his 360-degree view completes the circle and solves it. And it is what makes it an intriguing mystery film to watch. Also, the ending of the ‘Golam’ suggests that we might have another part in the pipeline and we therefore look forward to watching the same soon.

The entire ensemble cast has done a convincing job
To be honest, we have not seen the acting performances of most of its ensemble cast members before this film. And after watching them in action, we were impressed with their credible acts. The protagonist and hero of the movie ASP Sandeep Krishna is played by a relatively newcomer to the movie industry, Ranjith Sajeev. And in this film playing the role of a smart police officer, he looked the part. We also liked the work of the rest of the ensemble cast members, Chinnu Chandni Nair (Meera), Siddique (Kuriakose Chemmanam), Dileesh Pothan (Issac John), Kaarthik Shankar (Albert), Sunny Wayne (Gibson George), Alencier Ley Lopez (CI Abdul Raheem), etc.
The conclusion
This year, the Malayalam movie industry continues to churn out good quality entertaining films one after another, and Golam is no different. We liked the story of this crime mystery drama “Golam” and its refreshing approach.
