Abbott Elementary (Season 4/USA/2024-2025) series continued to tickle your funny bones with its amusing workplace comedy set inside a school. Recently, on the 1st day of the 10th month, this American mockumentary sitcom returned to our small screen with its Season 5. So, we decided to recap S4 and catch up.

As of now, the first two episodes of Season 5 of this comedy show have been aired. Therefore, it is the perfect time to catch up with the last season, which had two parts.

The synopsis (official)
In this workplace comedy, a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal — are brought together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life. Though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.

This workplace comedy show (S4) continue to entertain us
Well, this school comedy show refuses to sit on its laurels. And season 4 is no different. Once again, this American Sitcom is brilliantly led by the multi-talented show creator, writer and actress Quinta Brunson. She certainly excels in almost all the fields, be it writing and/or acting performance. Not only has she created this politically and socially relevant series, focusing on the numerous issues that plague the elementary school systems in the USA, but she also uses smart satire and brilliant humour to drive home the point. In fact, she and her entire team of writers, directors and ensemble cast must be applauded for the same.

To conclude, was it great
Not surprisingly, even in its fourth season, this comedy show continues to wow both the viewers as well as the critics. Abbott Elementary (S4) entertained us with its set of lovable and wacky characters backed by humorous writing.
So, was it a great season? We think it was a very good comedy season, close to a great one, indeed.

Fourth (4th) Season – Summaries of 22 Episodes of Abbott Elementary (2024-2025) Series
The 22 Episodes of Season 4 were aired from October 9, 2024, to April 16, 2025.
Back to School (S4, E1)
The construction site of a new golf course causes issues at Abbott, forcing the teachers to find creative solutions; an HR representative visits the school; following their kiss, Janine and Gregory’s relationship status is revealed.
Ringworm (S4, E2)
When it’s revealed that a student in Jacob’s class has ringworm, the faculty must band together to stop the case of ringworm from spreading through the entire school.
Class Pet (S4, E3)
Janine gets a budget for class pets, but Melissa is resistant to taking on the added work and responsibility for her room’s guinea pig; an IT rep from the school district arrives to set up new computers.
Costume Contest (S4, E4)
It’s Halloween at Abbott Elementary and Janine and Gregory proudly show off their couple’s costume, but it fails to translate; Barbara faces pushback from parents concerned about hygiene and her beloved apple-bobbing tradition.
Dad Fight (S4, E5)
Gregory forms a bond with one of his students, but the student’s dad becomes jealous of their relationship and seeks a confrontation; Melissa suffers a fall but avoids receiving medical attention for the injury.
The Deli (S4, E6)
When the neighborhood deli is forced to close to make room for a trendy smoothie place, Melissa, Barbara and Jacob team up to fight the gentrification; the district asks Ava to give a presentation to fellow principals.
Winter Show (S4, E7)
Despite a few setbacks, Barbara is determined to make Abbott Elementary’s first-ever holiday show a success; Jacob’s brother arrives for his visit earlier than planned.
Winter Break (S4, E8)
Melissa hosts the Schemmenti family Christmas Eve dinner and goes to great lengths to make sure everything is perfect; Janine and Gregory get an unexpected guest.
Notably, this elementary school show also took more than a month-long winter break from December 5, 2024, to January 7, 2025.
Volunteers (S4, E9)
Ava announces the school district is sending a group of volunteers to help out at Abbott; however, when they arrive, things don’t go as planned.
Testing (S4, E10)
Janine must rethink her lesson plans after her class performs poorly on a practice test; Jacob struggles to engage a disinterested student; the district sends a new custodian to train under Mr Johnson.
Strike (S4, E11)
When city buses stop running due to a strike, resulting in many students being absent from school, the teachers at Abbott try to find creative solutions and adapt to hybrid learning; Gregory and O’Shon strike up a friendship.
Girard Creek (S4, E12)
The Abbott Elementary students and staff are invited to visit a special grand opening preview of the Girard Creek Golf Club.
The Science Fair (S4, E13)
While supervising the kids work on making their science fair projects, the teachers’ competitive sides comes out.
District Budget Meeting (S4, E14)
Ava and the Abbott teachers plan for the annual school district budget meeting; Janine and Gregory prepare for Valentine’s Day as a couple.

During Abbott’s 100th day of school celebrations, Barbara receives a surprise from her daughter; Jacob and Mr. Johnson join forces to conduct a search party.
