The Fable: The Killer Who Doesn’t Kill is a fun movie. It is the second part of “The Fable”, the original Japanese movie. Both the films are based on the popular Manga comic books.

The suspense and mystery elements in this movie are a welcome addition to the original The Fable manga comic and the said film based on the same.


Synopsis summary of The Fable: The Killer Who Doesn’t Kill (2021) film

While trying to live a normal life, a deadly assassin must somehow protect a young woman and confront a man bent on revenge without killing anyone.

As we have discussed in The Fable movie, Akira Sato is the legendary killer. Yet, he lives peacefully with his partner Yoko as ordinary siblings in hiding, because of the strict order of his boss. Now in this movie, Akira works part-time at the design company Octopus with its owner Takoda and the other employee Misaki.

Neither the owner Takoda nor his colleague Misaki knows about Akira’s trained assassination background. Meanwhile, Utsubo works with another contract killer Suzuki to extort money from the common people. When Utsubo targets someone at the design company Octopus, his path crosses with Akira, once again.

The introduction

The same team as the original “The Fable” movie has brought this Japanese masala film. Perhaps, that is the reason, The Fable: The Killer Who Doesn’t Kill film manages to keep up the crime-mystery story moving forward. So, in this movie, the legendary assassin Akira Sato is trying to solve the mystery and find a dangerous criminal, who has been extorting innocent people. While doing so, he also seeks redemption for his deplorable actions in the distant past.

We liked the actors and their comedy and action

Just like its original Manga comic, this movie is a pleasant time-pass funny comical film. It deserves a view, at least one time. Like the first part of the film ‘The Fable‘, the hero (Jun’ichi Okada) and his sidekick (Fumino Kimura) in this sequel movie have done a good job, in both the comedy as well as action scenes.

Has good action sequences

It once again made us admire the well-choreographed action scenes. One should watch it to admire the high-quality stunt scenes of recent times in the Japanese cinema world.

The conclusion

It is a fun roller-coaster ride, that you might like to undertake for the chills and the thrills. Frankly, I did not expect it, but I had lots of fun and enjoyment while watching both the Japanese films – The Fable.
