So, to continue with the story, the (step) Mother Hannah Hall (Jennifer Garner) and her (step) daughter Bailey Michaels (Angourie Rice) continue to search for the missing husband/father Owen Michaels (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in a motivated manner. Not realizing that their search for the missing Owen Michaels is going to put their personal safety and lives at much greater risk. Will they uncover the hidden truth behind Owen’s sudden disappearance? And what price both of them are willing to pay for their love and stubbornness?
I wish I could tell you more about its key plotlines, but then I would be giving away the spoilers and ruining the suspense and mystery behind this thrilling story.

Jennifer Garner (as Hannah Hall) is once again in great form and carries the mini-series on her shoulders. She is backed by a tight plotline and good ensemble cast members – Angourie Rice, Aisha Tyler, Augusto Aguilera and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. But, if you really wish to know more about the mystery and suspense-filled storyline, then please go ahead and read its spoiler shared below. Although, I must admit that I have not given every spoiler away. Okay.
However, I would only say that if you are a sucker for a good family-love story like me, then with only seven episodes in this limited mini-series The Last Thing He Told Me, it is perfect for binge-watch, at least one time.

In the opening episodes of this show, we are informed that Owen Michaels is going to be arrested by the FBI for securities fraud in the company. Therefore, Owen vanishes into thin air. However, before disappearing, Owen leaves a secret note for his wife Hannah and teenage daughter Bailey. He requests Hannah to look after his daughter Bailey.
When Hannah searches for him, she learns that Owen Michaels does not exist in any kind of government records.
Still, Hannah and Bailey continue to dig for the truth.
Is the truth going to heal them or destroy them?
In the end, after Hannah and Bailey become aware of the truth behind the sudden disappearance of Owen, they heal and become closer, as step-mother and step-daughter.
Also, Owen continues to stay away from both Hannah and Bailey, to keep them away from the threats.
In the end, each one of them sacrificed and compromised, to stay safe, remain alive and keep living their lives away from the dangerous elements.
