Kaleidoscope is a new limited mini-series about the largest heist ever attempted, with more than billions of US dollars at stake. The plot of this show is more or less inspired by real-life events in New York.
Actually a decade ago, during the Hurricane Sandy storm in 2012, about US dollars 70 billion in bonds went missing from downtown Manhattan in New York. However, the story of this show has an added flavour of revenge, greed, mistrust, back-stabbing and other character flaws usually among us – the humans. However, many elements of this tale are predictable. Anyway, does this kind of revenge story have a happy ending?

Kaleidoscope (2023) Mini-series:- spoilers free brief review
I liked this limited mini-series. With so many issues plaguing the Heist Team – ego clashes and back-stabbing, I could feel the tension among their members. Also, I do not know how I could, but I could guess its plotlines while watching it. To be honest, I feel that its script could have been much tighter. And this would have made this show a much better viewing experience with much higher ratings. Although even in its present form, this series is ideal for binge-watch.

According to Netflix, this mini-series is a non-linear streaming experience, which means that no matter in which order the episodes are watched, the entire story still makes sense. Due to the nonlinear storytelling structure, its viewers are invited to watch the eight episodes in any order they like, and still, the story will make sense in whichever order one chooses to watch the show.
So, we (me and my team) have watched this limited series and we humbly came up with the four best options that you can choose from.
But according to the show creators, it can be watched in any order with only one rule: the episode “White” has to be watched last, as it is the season finale.
But, I think that you can watch it, in any order you like and enjoy this good heist/revenge show.
Option 1: Chronological order | Violet – 24 years before Heist Green – 7 years before Heist Yellow – 6 weeks before Heist Orange – 3 weeks before Heist Blue – 5 days before Heist White – Day X of Heist Red – The day after Heist Pink – 6 months after Heist |
Option 2: Going backwards in time | Pink – 6 months after Heist Red – The day after Heist White – Day X of Heist Blue – 5 days before Heist Orange – 3 weeks before Heist Yellow – 6 weeks before Heist Green – 7 years before Heist Violet – 24 years before Heist |
Option 3: A jumbled-up option | Red – The day after Heist Yellow – 6 weeks before Heist Violet – 24 years before Heist Orange – 3 weeks before Heist Green – 7 years before Heist Pink – 6 months after Heist Blue – 5 days before Heist White – Day X of Heist |
Option 4: You may like this order | Yellow – 6 weeks before Heist Violet – 24 years before Heist Orange – 3 weeks before Heist Green – 7 years before Heist Blue – 5 days before Heist Red – The day after Heist Pink – 6 months after Heist White – Day X of Heist |

IMDb rating as of the date | 6.60/10 |
Rotten Tomatoes ratings as of the date | 49% Tomatometer & 45% Audience Score |
Critics Consensus / Rotten Tomatoes | While this series’ interactive storytelling offers some flashy novelty, its colour-coded story strands are unfortunately all in service to a disappointingly pedestrian plot. |
