The Night Agent series is an intriguing political thriller. This political conspiracy drama involves a powerful set of political players – who have access to the White House.

This series is based on Matthew Quirk’s novel titled ‘The Night Agent’. Although, it is worth noting that its screen adaptation is slightly different from the plot of the original novel.

Matthew Quirk - the author of this 2019 novel has shared its plot line on his website - "to find a mole in the White House, an FBI agent must question everything. . . and trust no one." 

And that is what Agent Peter does.

Please note:- it is a stand-alone novel without a sequel.

It is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centring on a low-level FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings — until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office.

Thus, while monitoring an emergency line, a vigilant FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) answers a call that plunges him into a deadly conspiracy involving a mole at the White House.

We liked the positive energy and the never-say-die attitude of the FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) in this roller-coaster thriller series. This political conspiracy drama spans ten episodes with the White House at the heart of its tale. Right from the opening scene of the series, Agent Peter has been in the thick of the action.

While working in the basement of the White House, the emergency phone rings. And low-level FBI Agent Peter answers. But then he gets sucked into the dangerous conspiracy. Interestingly, this sedition plot has originated in the Oval Office. To save the President and the credibility of the White House, Peter has to put his life at risk.

Renewed for the second season

We learnt that it is one of Netflix‘s most popular English-language series of all time. Besides, Netflix renewed this show just a week after it debuted.

Therefore, season two of this show is going to happen soon.
