The four survivors {including two sisters – Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera) & Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega)} from the most recent Woodsboro Ghostface killings have moved to New York City for a fresh start. Just as they begin to feel a sense of normalcy, they receive that infamous call. Ghostface is more brutal and relentless than ever and will stop at nothing to hunt them down.

First is that it is the first ‘Scream’ film without Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott) and David Arquette (Dewey Riley). Also, it is the first film in the franchise to get a 3D release and the third film in the franchise to take place outside of Woodsboro, after Scream 2 (1997) and Scream 3 (2000). This picture became the third film in the franchise to surpass USD($) 100 million domestically at the US Box Office in April 2023, after its release.

The actress Courteney Cox has now played the role of Gale Weathers in all six movies of this franchise, released between 1996 to 2023 – in four different decades. It is a unique record for any actress. Courteney Cox was the first actor to sign up to return as Gale Weathers in this film. As of this film, Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) is the only actor to appear in every film, while Roger Jackson has provided voice work for every film.
However, it is worth noting that only actress Milla Jovovich appeared in the six Resident Evil (2002 to 2016) movies before its recent reboot.

Now, this 2023 film has successfully recreated a worthy sequel of a slasher/horror movie. And we (me and my team) think this movie has given a fresh lease of life to its franchise.
No doubt, this film is loved by its dedicated fanbase, who like the blood and gore of slasher movies. We have seen some of the horror/slasher movie audiences screaming while watching this film. But, it is not for weak-hearted people like us. However, we liked the mystery surrounding the masked murderer. All in all, we can say it is a thrilling violent slasher movie made for its loyal fanbase.
